Floor at church of Santi Maria e Donato, Murano

One of the hundreds of photos taken of the polychrome floor mosaics on the islands of Murano, Burano, and throughout Venice. The church of Santi Maria e Donato (11th c. floors) offered numerous geometric mosaic patterns as well as small sections of representational imagery.
The inclusion of my shoes in the photo is quite intentional. It is the quickest and easiest way to include some scale reference.
